How is Mail Deflector different from other solutions?

Other services are very good, but you have no control of their database. Decisions they make regarding entries in their database may not be the ones you would make. With Mail Deflector, control is in your hands. As a Mail Deflector customer, you have final control over which sites are permitted to deliver mail to you, and which are denied access to your machine.

You are able to refuse or accept mail from machines by using your Mail Deflector account management web pages. No "approval" process is needed, and changes are entered into your private Mail Deflector database area immediately.

For instance, lets say that totally fictional xyz.com has a "buy this candy" mailing list. This corporation has been identified as consistently sending spam and is in the master spam prevention database. However, you like them and want to get their emails, without affecting other Mail Deflector users, and without touching your mail server configuration. With Mail Deflector, you can!

You can also deny access to your machine without affecting other Mail Deflector users. If totally fictionaly xyzaa.com is not welcome to deliver email to your servers, you can tell Mail Deflector to refuse delivery from their machines. This is done without affecting any other Mail Deflector users.

How good is Mail Deflector Info?

The staff at Mail Deflector work constantly to keep the spam site list updated. Fresh sites are added on a minute by minute basis. Other sites that have hardened themselves against spam are removed.

We don't have any bias towards any particular organization. Sites get listed because they have sent spam. Sites are easily removed. As a MailDeflector customer, you can override the master database at any time.

This helps assure the system works for you, not against you. We accept information from our customers to keep the database updated, as well as using spam bait locations to provide a real time source of proven spammers.
